This page contains a sampling of our extensive collection of US military uniform and apparel items from all wars, and all branches of the services.
The US militaria is categorized by service, and then by era. US Army items are located together, for example, and then sorted by era, from oldest to latest. If you are looking for specific pieces, you may need to check to ensure the item you need is not in a location you may expect on the site. As usual, if you have specific questions or items you seek, please email us for details. Include details of what you are looking for, to save everyone time and effort.
Patches and Distinctive Unit Insignia are on separate pages.
This area will take some time to fill out. As the specific areas become active, the links will be enabled. Check back often.
We also have a large collection of early military rigid airship memorabilia from the US Army Zeppelin aviator Corporal Edward F. Douglas estate, located on another page because of its size and detailed content.
This lot includes over 300 photographs -- many unpublished snapshots and rare military photographs -- of the USS SHENANDOAH (ZR-1), the USS LOS ANGELES (ZR-3), and several other US Army and US Navy balloons and Zeppelins while Douglas served as a crew member aboard these ships. Also included is one of his flight log books, containing signed entries for flights aboard the Zeppelins as well as a number of K.B. balloons. Other items include documents, letters, newspaper accounts, an experimental paper parachute used for air-to-ground communications, blueprints and engineering documents, and several large pieces of fabric from the first SHENANDOAH wreck. Douglas was one of a total of 20 personnel aboard the USS SHENANDOAH who survived when she broke loose of her moorings in a gale and was wrecked in January, 1924.
