Der Deutsche Hof Butter Knife The Der Deutsche Hof was the Hotel where Adolf Hitler stayed in Nuremberg during Reichsparteitag
 (party rallies)

This particular knife was found in his room # 106.

The knife measures 8-1/4" long. The plating is in good condition with slight scratches from normal wear and tear.

 The story of this find is mentioned in a new book I wrote. It was found by a 506th PIR 101st Airborne Infantry Division officer named 1 Lt D C Watts. The title is "Treasure Trove the Looting of the Third Reich" available from me on my site http://www.snyderstreasures.com/pages/trove.htm

This is a World War II hotel service heavy silver plate cream pitcher marked with the name of the Der Deutsche Hof. It was made by the German silver fabricators WELLNER SÖHNE, A.G. noted for making many of the silver service items for the larger German hotels during the reign of the German high command. 
I got this personally when I stayed at the Platterhof at the Obersalzberg soon after World War Two. The manager stated they had used this service since it was renamed the General Walker Hotel. 

This is a very small individual serving cream pitcher, in a 25ml size (marked 2-1/2cl) on the bottom. It measures 2-1/2  inches from spout to handle, 2 inches high and a base of 1-1/2 x 1-3/4 inches.  

The condition is very used, with many little nicks and dings from everyday routine use. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition.

This is a World War II hotel service heavy silver plate tea pot marked with the name of the Der Deutsche Hof. It was made by the German silver fabricators WELLNER SÖHNE, A.G. noted for making many of the silver service items for the larger German hotels during the reign of the German high command.

This is a Vintage German silver plated serving bowl that is marked Sach's Metallw Fabrik  AUG WELLNER SNE  AUE  i.S. 32  F.L. & Co.

Engraved on the front is a flag with 3 crowns over S.A.L.  S. 

The company August Wellner & Sohne silversmiths in Germany was founded in 1854. This item dates to early 20th century and shows scratches and dings with some silver plating worn away on the inside.

The serving bowl 8 1/2" across (11 1/4" handle to handle) x 3" tall, weighs 2 lbs. 3 oz .  Here is a view of the bottom.

This is a World War II hotel service heavy silver plate match holder and ashtray marked with the name of the Hôtel Pfauen in Einseideln, Czechoslovakia.

It was made by the German silver fabricators A. WELLNER & SÖHNE, A.G. noted for making many of the silver service items for the larger German (and Occupied Lands) hotels during the reign of the German high command.

This is a very functional wooden safety match box holder and ashtray. It is script stamped "Hôtel Pfauen  Einseideln" on the back side.

The condition is very used, with many little nicks and dings from everyday routine use, and deep tarnish from age. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition.

It was made by the German silver fabricators Gebruder Hepp, noted for making many of the silver service items for the larger German hotels during the reign of the German high command. The maker mark is at the top lip of the base: GEBR HEPP and silver content 90.

This is a tall bucket within a stand with a bail handle marked with the machine impressed swastika and "Der Deutscher Hof" on the side. The condition is very used, with many little nicks and dings and wear to the silver plate from everyday routine use. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition, with deep tarnish evident throughout, visible in the images of the back and top rear.

It measures 23 inches high (with the handle down). The internal bucket sleeve is 6-1/4 inches in internal diameter and 9-1/2 inches deep.

German Luftwaffe Mess Saucer
This is a World War II Luftwaffe Mess service heavy aluminum alloy plate saucer.

It was made by the German metal fabricators Fissler I-O, noted for making many of the service items for the luftwaffe in particular. There is a luftwaffe droop-tail eagle emblem, the letters FL. U. V. mark on the bottom

The condition is very used, with many little nicks and dings from everyday routine use. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition.

It measures 4-3/4 inches in diameter. The recess is 2-1/4 inches (made for a metal frame that holds a glass cup)

This platter was obtained by First Lieutenant D.C. Watts 101st Airborne Infantry Division at the close of World War Two.

The platter is heavily tarnished and in good plus condition.

German World War Two Hotelware Wellner Silver Plate Coffee & Creamer Set.

This is a WWII Wellner heavy Silver plate hotel ware coffee set.   A waitress at the Hotel Hausterkuns stuck it in my mom’s evening bag as she was leaving the hotel after dinner.  She was told Hitler frequented the hotel.  She has had it ever since.

The coffee pot is 6 inches high to the top of the lid and 6 inches wide handle to spout.  The bottom circumference is 9 inches.  It weighs 444 grams or 15.7 oz.  It is marked on the bottom Wellner 30cl. and #14 in a circle.  It is also marked H.D.D.K-For the hotel name.  The lid has a 43H on it as well as the bottom of the pot. The creamer is 3 inches high by 4 inches wide (spout to handle).

The bottom circumference is 7 inches, it weighs 168 grams or5.9 oz. It is marked Wellner 10cl. and #7 in a circle.   It has what appears to be a triangle on the bottom rim.   These are in Vintage wear condition with dings etc. common to these items. But their condition is very good.

This is a World War II Hotel Bayerischer Hof München Bayreuth Sugar Spoon.

It was made by the German Bavaria Metal Fabricators (BMF), noted for making many of the service items for German high leaders and German services and organizations.  It is maker marked BMF with a 30 heavy silver plate content mark.

The condition is very used, with many little nicks and dings from everyday routine use. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition.

German Hotel Kaiserhof Chicago Opening Banquet Silver Award Medal
This is an 1892 Hotel Kaiserhof Chicago silver medal.

It was made by the Greenduck Company of Chicago noted for making many of the better medallions and badges at the turn of the century.

This medallion was presented to one of the chefs responsible for preparing the banquet that opened the hotel in 1892.  The Kaiserhof changed its name in 1917 to a less offensive name (the Hotel Atlantic), and changed its name to the Wyoming and the Gore, and back to Atlantic during its history. It was torn down in 1971.  It was located at 314-328 Clark Street, near Jackson Boulevard in Chicago.

The condition is used, with many little nicks and dings from everyday wear for a number of years. It is in overall very good serviceable original condition.
