Deep Sea Diver's Hard Hat Helmet

This is a very scarce hard hat diver's helmet. There are a number of views with the helmet on and off the yoke, shown below:

This is an old three-window helmet and has deep tarnish and a number of minor dents and signs of long hard service.  It has 12 bolts on the collar yoke, none of the nuts are present.  The name data plate is missing, however traces of where it once was mounted remain.  The glass and guards are intact and present.  There is a significant amount of wear to the fittings, as shown in the images above.  This appears to be a very early Korean diver's helmet, with a lot of the same characteristics of a Japanese TOA

82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper Helmet

This is a scarce paratrooper helmet with liner and snap straps helmet. There are a number of views of details, shown below:

This is a WWII helmet, complete and in the condition as noted. The chin suspension strap has a popped rivet on the right side, visible in the images.  The decal on the right side of the liner was removed long ago. There is some minor rusting on the inside of the steel shell.  It is in otherwise near excellent condition.

Four Star General Officer Overseas Khaki Garrison Cap With Theater Made Insignia

This is a very scarce and not often encountered general officer's side hat in tropical khaki twill with theater made STERLING silver four-star screw post back insignia. Each star is individually content marked and one has the word "HAND" on it. The stars are connected by a bar. This is a close-up view of the front and rear of the stars dismounted from the hat.

It is tag marked 7-1/8, with leather sweat band and silk satin khaki lining. It is in excellent, near mint condition, showing only the most minor signs of very occasional use.

This cover has no maker marks on the cloth lining, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here and the wicker detail shown here. These are views of the right and left side.

It has the early gilded brass very thin die-struck screw back Eagle Globe and Anchor insignia with the eagle looking up. The top of the cover has two thin red piping at the top and bottom of the frame cover.

The leather visor shows crazing typical seen on these pillbox caps. The chin strap and low vaulted dome gilt buttons are in near very good condition, with the leather chin strap showing some moderate wear.

The blue wool cover is in near excellent condition, excepting one tiny area (1/8 inch in diameter) at the top that shows some thinning. All of the vent grommets are original and present.

The sweatband shows some stains and moderate to heavy wear from routine field wear and use

This cover has no maker marks on the cloth lining but it is stamped as a Size 7, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here and the wicker detail shown here. These are views of the right and left side.

It has the early blackened brass very thin die-struck screw back Eagle Globe and Anchor insignia with the eagle looking up and long stocks. The cover is a khaki green/brown wool with a brown pressed fabric bill and fabric chinstrap.

The visor shows virtually no crazing typical seen on these pillbox caps. The chin strap and low vaulted dome gilt buttons are in near very good condition, with the chin strap showing some moderate wear.

The wool cover is in near excellent condition. All of the vent grommets are original and present.

The sweatband shows some stains and very minor wear from routine field wear and use

USV-04 Indian War Through Spanish American War 1895 Pattern US Army Forage Cap 2nd Division 5th Brigade Officers Visor Hat

This hat is typical of the type and style worn by many US Army company grade officers during the later years of the 19th Century until it was replaced by the Model 1902 cap.

This cover was made by De Moulin Bros. & Co. Greensville Illinois and has the maker mark on the cloth lining, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here. These are views of the right and left side.

It has the early musket insignia with the letters "U" over "C" and it shows some tarnish from age. The top of the cap has a unit identification with a red 5 in the center of a white Maltese cross. White should indicate the second division and the number the 5th brigade.

The leather visor shows bubbling typical seen on these pillbox caps. The chin strap and high dome gilt buttons are in near excellent condition, with the gold bullion chin strap showing some minor wear and very deep tarnish.

The blue wool cover is in near excellent condition, excepting some wear at the extreme back side at the piping seam. All of the vent grommets are original and present.

The sweatband shows some stains and wear from routine field wear and use

USV-02 World War II US Army Air Force Officer Dress Blue Uniform Visor Hat

This hat is typical of the type and style worn by many US Army company grade officers during WWII. It was part of a USAAF officer's estate.

This cover was made by S. B. WARD COMPANY New London Ohio and has the maker mark on the plastic sewn to the cloth lining, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here.

It has no insignia.  We do have the correct insignia available separately in a number of styles including the "Jumbo" insignia.

The leather visor and gold bullion chin strap are in near excellent condition, with the chin strap showing some moderate tarnish.

The blue cover with saffron yellow/orange piping is in near excellent condition.

The sweatband shows some stains and wear from light occasional use.

This hat is typical of the type and style worn by many US Army company grade officers during WWII. It was part of a USAAC officer's estate.

This cover was made by Rosenfeld & Rapkin 15 School Street Boston (Mass) and has the maker mark on the cloth lining under plastic, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here.

It has the early insignia, slightly smaller than the jumbo eagle insignia, and it shows some tarnish from age.

The leather visor and chin strap are in near excellent condition, with the chin strap showing some minor wear.

The green cover is in near excellent condition, excepting two tiny holes at the extreme back side under the seam. The holes are smaller than the inside of this letter "o"

The sweatband shows some stains and wear from light occasional use.

WWII USCG Officer Visor Cap

World War II US Coast Guard Officer Visor Hat

This hat is typical of the type and style worn by many USCG officers during WWII.

This cover was made by Bershire Caps and has the maker mark on the cloth lining protector under plastic, as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here.

It has the two tone USCG officer branch insignia and it shows some tarnish from age. These are views of the right and left sides.

The leather visor and gold and silver bullion chin strap are in near good condition, with the chin strap showing some minor wear and the visor showing some bubbling of the polish. It should be able to be stripped and restored to serviceable condition.

It has wicker stiffener construction, and it is tagged as a size 6-3/4.

The khaki tan tropical wool cover is in near excellent condition, excepting some minor sweat stains.

The sweatband shows some stains and wear from light occasional use.

World War II US Army Woman Officer Chocolate Uniform Visor Hat

This hat is typical of the type and style worn by US Army WAAC company grade officers during WWII.

This cover has a partial maker tag on the inside and is a marked size 22-1/2 as seen in the view of the inside of the hat here.

It has a small officer's eagle screwback insignia.

The sweatband shows some stains and wear and there are several small holes from prolonged field use.

WWII US Enlisted Wool 510th Armored Infantry Battalion (Colored) Sidehat With DI
This is an all-original US Army Model 1942 Wool Garrison Cap Overseas Hat with 510th AIB (Colored) Distinctive Unit Insignia.

This is the right side.

This was one of only five tank battalions with all Negro troops during WWII.

There is only minor wear from routine use in during WWII. It has the original 1943 dated QM tag.  The clutch back DI is maker marked I-O.

WWII US 104th Infantry Timberwolf Division Veteran's Sidehat With Patch
This is an all-original veteran's white wool felt side hat with a WWII period patch from the 104th Infantry Division.

This set is in near mint condition throughout.

The green artwork is all silk-screened on the white felt. The bottom edge is finished with a matching green sewn strip.

There are no maker marks present.  There is some minor soiling from years of long storage.

Russian MiG Jet Pilot GSh-6 High Altitude Pressure Helmet and Accessories
This is GSh-6M Russian High Altitude pressure helmet, complete with the coupling ring, helmet liner, original paper work and documentation, covers and accessories in the original issue wooden storage container, with data plate, serial numbers and late 1980s Cold War issue date.

This helmet was used primarily in the MiG-25 and MiG-31, and other high-performance aircraft.

This is a very difficult helmet to locate in this condition, and this complete.

This is a fleece lined WWI US Army Air Service Signal Corps Aviator Leather Flight helmet.

It has the original leather chin straps and snap closures with grommet ear holes.  It has the original maker tag, however, the printing has worn away over the years, only faint traces remain

The inside is shown here and a view of the right side with the ear roll in place. It is about a size 7-1/8.  It is designed to be very close-fitting to the pilot's head.

This is a soft chamois leather lined WWII US Army Air Force Aviator Leather Flight helmet and AN6530 Goggles Set.

It has the original leather chin strap, buckle, and snap closures.  There is an Air Force contract and H.L.B. Corp. N.Y. maker tag present.

The inside is shown here and a view of the right side . It is a tag marked size 7.  It is designed to be very close-fitting to the pilot's head.

The leather shows only minor wear from routine use. It is still supple but needs a little attention with mink oil to bring it back to full suppliness. The lining shows minor stains from use.

The FISCHER SPRING CO BROOKLYN N.Y. maker marked goggles have a cracked and broken lens on the right side.  We may have replacement lens available at additional cost, inquire.

World War I Russian Winter Quilted Hat
This is World War I Russian Winter Quilted Hat with hammer, sickle and star metal buttons and separately applied red wool felt star.

This hat is a comfortable fit on a US 7-1/8 head.

This is a very difficult hat to locate in this condition.

WWI Western Electric USN USMC Leather Flight Helmet
This is a very scarce WWI No. 1-A Western Electric USN / USMC Aviator Leather Flight helmet.

It has the original sash cord style metal-tipped lace, friction closure buckles, and all original leather straps and snaps.

Western Electric was a prime contractor for the US Navy and Marine Corps communications flight helmets in World War I. A close-up of the tag is shown here.

The leather earcups are pierced at the bottoms for electric wires for radio earphones (not present).

The leather shows considerable wear from routine use and some crazing from age. It is however, still supple and not overly dry. The cloth lining shows stains from use.

WWII US Marine Corps MAS (VMA-231) Flight Crew Deck Helmet
This is a US Marine Corps VMA-231 Flight Deck Crew helmet.

This is complete to include the noise abatement earmuffs, khaki twill liner, and unusual multicolor paint with artwork.

This helmet is Vietnam War vintage.  It has a winged Ace of Spades on the red back panel and applied reflective shamrocks in green on the yellow visor.  There is a Playboy bunny in the same reflective green applied to each earmuff.

The color scheme is completely non-standard for the US Navy, and the colors are the USMC colors of crimson and gold. The insignia relate to the USMC Marine Air Squadron 231 (VMA-231). The shamrocks may be a tip of the hat to the UK-made Hawker-Siddeley AV-8A Harrier, the squadron's primary aircraft when they were reactivated in 1973.

It is approximately a size 7.

WWII US Navy Flight Aviator Helmet
This is a US Navy Aviator black leather flight helmet.

There are flaps over holes over the ears that snap in place and loops above the ears to secure communications, if used. All snaps and flaps are present. It is not lined. There is very little wear apparent to the leather, and the elastic chin strap has some slight fraying.  There is a silver USN stencil under the right ear.

It is approximately a size 6-3/4 (marked SMALL).

This is an Air Corps wool fleece flight cap.

This is the style of cap used by the American Volunteer Group AVG Flying Tigers and other US Army Air Force units. There is wear apparent to the brim and hem areas.

It is marked a Size 7 on the contract tag.

This is the style of cup used by USAAF pilots and aviators and adapted for use by some airborne paratroopers.

It is approximately 2-1/2 by 9-3/4 inches.  There are several holes to adjust for a perfect it.

WWII US Army Air Forces Type A-1 Sun Visor
This is a USAAF WWII Type A-1 Sun Visor

This is the style of cap used by pilots with the leather flight helmet to provide shade from the sun. There is some minor staining apparent.  It is otherwise in totally serviceable condition.

It is approximately 5 by 7-1/2 inches.  One of the straps has a adjuster to effect a tight fit to any size helmet..

Early US Army M1 Tank Combat Vehicle Crewman Commo Helmet
This is an early, Cold War era (1985) dated tanker helmet.

This is the first style of the CVC helmet with the foam lining and internals.  This design was quickly replaced because of rapid deterioration of the padding material.

This one was subdued and painted by an M1 Abrams tank crewman with the Ace of Spades and "Coors Crew" artwork.

It is approximately a size 7 to 7-1/4.  This is the contract tag of the liner.

This is an early 20th Century WWI wartime era Woman's Salvation Army Pillbox Hat

This is a very well-made black painted straw pillbox hat with fancy lining, red and gold Salvation Army cap title and wide black silk bow.

This is a spectacular hat with a cut-away at the back to accommodate a bun hairstyle .

This is a WWII 1942 dated wartime era British Empire Indian Army Turban Wrapper Hat

This is a very well-made heavy khaki tan cotton twill quilted and lined conical hat.  It has the usual assortment of British inspector marks, Collett, Ltd and "21" maker marks and broad arrow markings

This is a Vietnam Special Operations Group US Army 5th Special Forces Green Officer's Beret

This is a well made early beret with leather sweat band and Toronto Canada maker marks.  The patch in the lining and the 1LT rank flash are both theater made embroidered heavy floss.

IMPH-01 An Original and Authentic 19th Century Italy King Vittorio Emanuel II Lancer Bearskin Hat

This has a very ornate Imperial lancer device with VE cipher. This hat dates between 1861 and 1878, the years of his reign as King of Italy.

This is a view of the inside and one of the buttons. There is no chinstrap present.

This is a hard to find original fur hat.

IPMH-02 An Original and Authentic 19th Century Italy King Vittorio Emanuel II Savoy Infantry Bearskin Hat

This has a very ornate 14th Infantry device with Savory Cross and orange, white and green cockade and infantry horn. This hat dates to the VE II reign as King of Savoy from 1849-1861.

This is a view of the inside and one of the left and right sides. There is heavy gold bullion braided chinstrap with one gold bullion acorn present.

There is a very clear Piedimonte and Rome maker mark on the inside of the liner.

This is a hard to find original fur hat. The white feather shown is for demonstrating the feather plume holder and not original to the hat.
