German Military Uniforms

The tunic RZM label is shown here and the trouser RZM label here.  The left sleeve has an NSDAP armband sewn in place.

The German Sam Browne style shoulder strap and belt have marked snaps front and back. There is some minor crazing of the leather at the sharp bends.

The overall condition is near excellent throughout.

The trousers are complete and intact, including all buttons, ties, belt and suspenders. These are overall views of the front and back.  This is the size and maker stamp detail.

It measures 18 inches across the chest (about a US size 36). 17-1/2 inches across the shoulders, with a 17-1/2 inch inseam on the arm. The pants measure 32 at the waist and 30 at the inseam.

The overall condition is near excellent with some very neat -- virtually invisible -- professional tailor repairs on the pants.

The trousers are complete and intact, including all buttons, ties and even the metal ring over the watch pocket, as seen in the detail view. These are overall views of the right and left.  This is the size and maker stamp detail inside the waist.

The tunic measures 18 inches across the shoulders, and 38 inches at the bust (underarm seam to seam). The inseams of the sleeve is 16 inches.

The skirt complete and intact, including all buttons, and skirt hanging loops. This is an overall views of the right side.  This is the sewn on RZM maker tag.

It measures 16 inches across the waist (about a 32 inch waist) and it is 26 inches long. There is a small hole (apparently a burn or spark mark) that measures a little less than 1/4 inch near the pleat.

It measures 20 inches across the chest (about a US size 40) and 17-1/2 inches on the arm inseam.

The breeches are complete, including the sewn ring. There is significant mothing present, the majority on the front. These are overall views of the front and back, and the maker and size marks, and the 1942 date.

The overall condition is near very good, with the exception of scattered mothing on the tunic and some larger holes on the breeches as shown.

The 45th artillery regiment was formed in 1935 in Fulda as a part of the German 9th Infantry Division. It was reorganized as a component of the 7th Panzer Division. It was consolidated with A.R. 51 in 1938. In 1940 and merged with the 78th Artillery Regiment in 1941 as motorized division artillery.

The trousers have A.R.11 markings as well.

The overall condition is very good to near excellent, as shown.

The 102nd infantry regiment was in the Silesia area and in Poland as a part of the German 8th Army, X Corps, 24th Infantry Division.

The overall condition is very good to near excellent, with the exception of scattered mothing on the tunic, as shown.

This tunic is in outstanding condition. It is well marked above the inside pocket, shown here. It is sized to fit a 40 chest, 17 inch underarm inseam, and 18 inches across the shoulders. These are close-ups of the collar and shoulder board area. The lining is present. All parts are intact. This is a view of the back.

The overall condition is near excellent throughout.

These pants are generally good condition. There are some significant holes in the wool at the seat from moth bites made long ago, and some wear to the nap of the wool at the lower parts of the legs.  They should be restorable with time and talent. It is well marked inside the waist band with a maker tag and faint inked name, shown here. It has a 30 inch waist and 30 inch inseam. This is a close-up of the seat area.

The overall condition is good to near very good, except as described above.

These pants are generally near excellent condition. There are two very minor holes in the wool from routine wear made long ago, They should be restorable with a little time and talent. It is well marked inside the waist band with a maker tag and Johann Zitzen tailor inked name, shown here. It has a 36 inch waist and 25 inch inseam (pegged and buttoned to wear with knee-high boots). The visored hat has markings inside for Reiter I, Wach-Regiment Hermann Goring (later redesignated Führer-Begleit-Regiment). The original plastic liner protector with maker marks is also present. These are views of the right and left sides and a close-up of the insignia.

This tunic is in outstanding condition. It has an H. Nothbohm Berlin uniform tailor maker tag inside the collar, shown here. The cuff title and ordnance rating are heavy gray silk floss.  The ribbons are for the Luftwaffe long service, the Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13. März 1938, Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938 with "Prager Burg" Prague Castle device medal and there are loops for one badge.  The "droop tail" luftwaffe eagle is a nicely rendered heavy silk floss. The rank insignia is for a Flieger. These are close-ups of the lining and trousers. All parts are intact. This is a view of the back.

This tunic is in outstanding condition. It has the maker tag above the inside pocket, shown here. There are loops for a single ribbon bar and loops for three badges (most likely 2 badges and an IC First Class), and the ribbon for the Iron Cross 2nd Class.  The eagle is a nicely rendered heavy silver bullion. It shows some minor wear. The rank insignia is for an Army Infantry Lieutenant. The lining is complete and intact with a DRGM marked sword hanger clip present. One button is absent from the front. It is in the right side pocket for repair or restoration, if desired.

The overall condition is near excellent throughout.

This tunic is in outstanding condition. It is dated 1943 with maker marks on the lining, shown here. It is sized to fit a fairly large man, with ample room for the field uniform underneath. The snaps are marked and reinforcements and ties are all present and intact. The lining is present. All parts are intact. This is a view of the back.

It is four button with proper Machine Sewn Breast Eagle and with sewn down lieutenant colonel shoulder boards. There are three campaign ribbons present: the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern, the Medaille "Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42", and the Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938.

This uniform is in outstanding condition. It has several stamped size and 1943 date marks  apparent. It is sized to fit a large man. This is a view of the waist and cuffs of the pants. This pair of trousers is in outstanding condition. It has no markings apparent. It is sized to fit a very large man, with 36 inch inseam and 38 inch waist. The steel buttons are unmarked. All belts and buckles are all present and intact. This is a view of the front.

This pair of trousers is very good condition, showing a number of washings. They are a couple of shades lighter than the tunic from bleach or line drying in the sun. It has no markings apparent. It is sized to fit a very large man, with 36 inch inseam and 38 inch waist. The button-down shoulder board rank and markings are shown with the Bevo Army eagle and applied collar woven ribbon tabs and silver bullion trim. This is a view of the back.

The silver bullion cord border collar tabs are machine sewn to the collar. They have the original Red Cross enamel devices. It has a tailor made label by UNIFORMHAUS CARL WEYERS K.G. of Köln.  This is a view of the back.

The front buttons are concealed by a placket in wear.

The inside is completely lined, including the sleeves. The tunic is not named. There are some minor wear and signs of routine combat use.  There is one small 1/8 hole in the right sleeve that could be easily repaired.

There are loops on left breast for the IC 1st class and a badge, and two loops for a bar ribbon.

The tunic is well marked, as shown here. The sword hanger is present. The tunic is fully lined, sleeves and body. There are some stains and signs of routine wear from use. There are a number of small holes and wear spots that can be repaired. There is a field repair to the back of the right shoulder, not visible from the front, shown here. There is an applied silkscreened Volkssturm armband.

This is a very high quality tunic used in a movie production in the 1970s. This is NOT a WWII tunic and all major parts including insignia appear to be of post-war manufacture.

This is a very high quality tunic used in a movie production in the 1970s. This is NOT a WWII tunic and all major parts including insignia appear to be of post-war manufacture.

This tunic is in serviceable condition. It is dated 1955 with maker and size marks on the tag shown here. It is sized to fit a fairly large man, with ample room for the field uniform underneath. There are a number of small neat machine repairs to cover holes made in combat. All parts are intact. This is a view of the back.

The accessories consist of a spare set of elastic and one extra lens.

The accessories are mint.  The goggles have deterioration around the bottom rubber, as shown here.

They are designed to be used with breeches pants. The 12-3/4 inch long (outside) soles have very heavy large round pointed hobnails for traction on ice and the heels have flattened square cleats. They are marked "43" (either a date or size) on the soles and outside of the leather bucket tops. There are some minor stains and signs of routine wear from use. No hobnails are broken. This is a view of the other sides, and the tops. They measure 19-1/2 inches high and can accommodate a fairly hefty calf including the uniform.

This is a very high quality set of boots, with still supple leather tops and vamps, rarely encountered in this fine condition. With some mink oil and glycerin soap, they would be completely serviceable.

They are designed to be used with breeches pants. The  soles are marked "28,5" and the box is labeld 10-1/2. There are no signs of wear from use.  This is a view of the box, and the label.
