IMPERIAL GERMAN WWI COURT DEGEN STRAIGHT SWORD Marked WKC with Scabbard
This is a nice original Imperial German court degen or straight sword. The sword measures 36.25 inches in total length with a 30 inch double etched blade. The sword is in nice condition with some general period wear.

The folding brass guard has a few dents and a very slight bend. The sword is tight with no play or wobble. The double etched blade is very nice with a few small areas of oxidation towards the tip. The blade is marked with a knight head logo which I believe is the mark of WKC.

The leather scabbard has a bit of age shrinkage which is normal. The sword goes all the way in the scabbard, but you need to give it a good yank to get it out. The scabbard has a repair near the drag as seen in the last picture. The drag also has a few dents and dings and the brass has some slight age spotting.

Overall, this is a very nice sword and displays very well.

SUPER RARE Damascus BLUED INLAYS HOESTER Maker ITALY General Field Marshall of AVIATION ITALO BALBO Officer Dress Sword

This sword came from his estate many years ago.
I have only had one other of this rare sword.

This sword measures 38 inches overall with a blade length of 31 inches. The blade is in MINT as well as the grip pommel & guard condition.

It is maker marked in deep blued panels E & F HORSTER SOLINGEN on the one side and GENNARDO CORUZZOLO NAPOLI.

This is nearly a ONE OF A KIND sword that will increase in value over the years.

Italo Balbo (1896–1940) was appointed Minister of the Air Force in 1929. Balbo was the only leading Fascist to oppose both anti-Jewish racial laws and Mussolini's alliance with Germany. Early in World War II, he was killed by "friendly fire" when his plane was shot down over Tobruk by Italian anti-aircraft guns. Balbo's closest friends and his family strongly believed that it was an assassination on Mussolini's orders. Italo Balbo's remains were buried outside Tripoli on 4 July 1940. In 1970, Balbo's remains were brought back to Italy and buried in Orbetello by Balbo's family after Muammar al-Gaddafi threatened to disinter the Italian cemeteries in Tripoli.

SS Officer's Sword with the Portapee

The SS Officer's Sword is in Excellent Plus - Uncleaned Condition.  The Handle has 99% of its original finish except for the usual slight wear on the reverse side. The Pommel Nut has NO signs of being tampered with.

The SS Signet is very tightly inset with NO signs of ever being removed or replacing a police eagle. Just the usual little nicks that normally occur. The Silver Wire runs Up to the Ruins as it
should.

The Officer's portapee has been on this Sword for a VERY LONG TIME.  I have tired to show where the small tears are in the knot from long time use and being on there a long time.
The Blade is WKC and SS Marked.  It still has the white Buffer which has turned slightly yellow, but it is still White under the knot strap.

The Ball of the Knot is slightly oxidized and shows a little more wear on the reverse side than the front side.  The Scabbard retains approximately 99% of its original black paint. I do NOT
feel any dents or dings to the Scabbard. All the metal fittings have a nice dark patina. It was never cleaned by the GI who brought it back to the USA.

The Blade is the Usual Semi Bright Finish with NO nick or dings on the edges. Still has a very sharp point/tip.

German Eickhorn Imperial Era Sword Dies

The Carl Eickhorn Sword Company made a number of custom dies for publication period advertisement brochures.  Each die was exquisitely executed by a sword maker to accurately reflect the quality workmanship of each sword and accessory offered by the famed Solingen Germany specialty edged weapon manufacturer. The level of detail to include custom engraving and etch patterns is accurately rendered to precise scale.

Each die is identified by Model number of the sword.  All of of the WWI and Imperial period of Germany prior to the rise of the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich.

These are unique in every aspect -- one of a kind representations of the weapons depicted. Any one of these would be a spectacular addition to any advanced sword or published media collection.

The condition varies from piece to piece, some showing some cracks and minor wear from age and long storage.  Generally, all are very good to near excellent condition, with exceptions noted in the individual descriptions.

Measurements given are for the ENTIRE die, not the length of the sword or accessory depicted.
