This heavy silver plate silver was recovered from several of Hermann Goering's four trains taken to Obersalzburg in the last two weeks of April 1945. The pieces are marked with the last three numbers of the railroad car identification of the particular train. "243" (from car number 10243) is the most prevalently seen."244" is another of his numbers. Another Goring Pullman/Dining Car pair seen is 233 and 234. There are some slight pattern differences in the flatware pieces. One has a beveled edge (it appears to be a coin silver (800 content) Bruckmann pattern) and another has a raised edge (identified with the locomotive and "B" maker marks and is 90 ALPAKA heavy silver plate). Hitler's Pullman car number was "10206" (marked "206") and the car directly next to it was "10205" (marked "205").
These numbers have been seen on china, silver serving pieces, linens, and flatware.
We also have DR china service recovered from both Hitler and Goering trains listed on the German China page and table linens on the German Linen page.
