This is a very scarce 1936 Porcelain and Gilt Swimming Award Cased

It is a very high relief medal with Dem 2. Sieger (2nd Place Winner) on the back. There is an "S" with crown surmount deeply impressed into the back.

It is approximately 3-1/2 by 4 inches.

It is a very high relief medal with a profile of Adolf Hitler Unser Führer on the face and 10 Jahre Hans Lohnert Spielplatz Fürth-Bayern 1929-1939 (10th Year Hans Lohnert Sports Area Fuerth-Bavaria 1929-1939) on the back. There is an "S" with crown surmount deeply impressed into the back.

It measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter.

It is a very high relief medal, with Georing in his Field Marshall uniform on the face and in his flight uniform as the commander of the Richthofen Squadron on the back. It measures 110mm (4-1/2 inches) in diameter.

It is a very high relief medal, with paratroopers and parachutes raised lettering on the face and Junkers Ju-52 troop transports and paratroopers on the back. It measures 59mm (2-1/4 inches) in diameter.

There is a GOETZ maker marks on the face at the right rim near the "A" in KRETA.

It is a very detailed high relief medal, with the profile of the King in uniform on the front and the Prussian coat of arms on the back. It measures 60mm (2-1/4 inches) in diameter.

It is a very high relief medal, with the busts of the two leaders on the front and a handshake with raised lettering (basically indicating the desire for a free and proud Germany) on the back. It measures 1-7/16 inches in diameter.

The RDH was a very prestigious organization, with roots to 1907 kennel clubs.  It was run by the SS during the war, disbanded during the occupation and renamed/reformed after the war, led curiously enough, by the same SS officer (SS-Brigadeführer Mueller) that headed the organization during the war. At the time of this award, the organization was led by Count von Schwerin.

This award was only presented to selected trainers at the Koln show in 1936.  This particular show experienced some bad weather (from 23 to 26 April) and many trainers were unable to attend the awards ceremony.

It is a very high relief medal, with nude male athletes bearing a transitional flag (the old Weimar style eagle) on the front and DEUTSCHER RUDER VERBANDE in raised lettering on the back. It measures 2-9/16 inches in diameter.

Krupp-Berndorf (near Vienna, Austria) was one of the more prestigious silversmiths of Europe and the company later provided metal works during the war.  Arthur Krupp was acquitted of any crimes during the Nuremberg War Crimes trials.

It is a very high relief medal, with the profiles of the principals on the front and a dedication regarding their silver wedding anniversary in raised lettering on the back. It measures 2-3/8 inches in diameter.

There is a raised ST. SCHWARTZ maker (artist) mark on the front.

He ruled Austria from 1848 to 1916.

It is a very high relief medal, with the profile of the principal on the front with the Heir to the throne Archduke Ferdinand.  The back has the FJ1 and Imperial crown cipher and the dates 1848-1908. It measures 1-15/16 inches wide by 1-3/4 inches high.

There is a raised R. NEUBERGER WIEN 1908 maker (artist) mark on the front.

This device is in excellent condition throughout.

Archduke Ferdinand and his wife Sophia were both killed in an attack that is generally regarded as the spark that set off World War I.

It is a very high relief medal, with the profile of the principal on the front and identification and birth and death dates in raised lettering on the the face.  The back is blank (there is some glue residue that can be easily removed). It measures 1-9/16 inches in diameter.

The artwork on this very high relief coin is by M u. W marked on the front. The back depicts the Iron Cross of 1914 and various allied countries of the AEF: France, England, Russia, and USA. It measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter.

General Otto von Emmich commanded the X German Army Corps on the outbreak of World War I. He stormed and took the Belgian fortress on August 7, 1914.

This device is in excellent condition throughout.

The artwork on this very high relief coin is by M & W ST. marked on the front. The back depicts St. George slaying the dragon. It measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter.

His commands included General der Infanterie (Kavallerie, Artillerie) Lieutenant General -- GdArt v. Scholtz, 26 May 1915 - 28 September 1915.

The artwork on this high relief coin depicts a speech by Willem I in 1813. It is not artist marked on the front. The back depicts a lady warrior armed with a sword and reclining lion.

The artwork on this very high relief coin is by ZIEGLER on the obverse and GRÜNTHAL with art which depicts the actions of 22 September 1914 on the back. It measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter.

Otto Weddigen was born Sept. 15, 1882, in Herford, Westphalia, Germany. He died March 18, 1915, at sea off the Moray Firth, Scotland.

This German submarine commander, whose feat of sinking three British armored cruisers in about an hour during the second month of World War I, made him one of the most famous of Imperial German submarine heroes.

This device is in excellent condition throughout.

The artwork on this very high relief coin is by M&W ST. on the obverse with art which depicts the actions of 22 September 1914 on the back. It measures 2-1/8 inches in diameter.

On 22 September 1914, while patrolling in the region of the southern North Sea known to the British as the "Broad Fourteens", U-9 intercepted the three warships of the Seventh Cruiser Squadron, also known as the Live Bait Squadron. Weddigen fired off all six of his torpedoes, reloaded while submerged, and in less than an hour sank the three British armoured cruisers HMS Aboukir, HMS Hogue and HMS Cressy. About 1,400 men died, only 300 survived.

Otto Weddigen was awarded the Iron Cross and, after sinking the HMS Hawke and some merchant ships, Prussia's highest military order, the Pour le Mérite. He became one of only six non-Bavarians to receive the Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Max Joseph, Bavaria's highest military honor. He also received the highest military honors of the other two kingdoms of the German Empire, the Knight's Cross of Saxony's Military Order of St. Henry and the Knight's Cross of Württemberg's Military Merit Order.

Weddigen died while commanding the submarine U-29. On March 18, 1915, the U-29 was caught on the surface by the British battleship HMS Dreadnought in the Pentland Firth. The Dreadnought's guns could not depress low enough to fire at the small submarine, so her captain simply rammed the U-29, crushing it and killing all her crew.

The artwork on this heavy medal is by WuM (cipher) in front and rear. There is an elaborate Austro-Hungarian coat of arms on the back. It measures 2-1/8 inches in diameter.

When the war started in 1914 GdI Kövess von Kövessháza was the "senior" - in age and rank - of all the corps commanders but he remained commanding the 12th corps while other and younger generals like Böhm-Ermolli and Dankl took over command of whole armies. At the outbreak of the war in August 1914, the then General Kövess led this corps to war against Russia in Galicia with simultaneous command of Armeegruppe GdI. Kövess von Kövessháza which was in fact the lead elements of 2.Armee en route from the Balkan theatre. Reverting to his corps command during the autumn and winter of 1914 the 12th corps suffered heavy causalities first commanded by the 3rd Army of Brudermann and then by the 2nd Army of Böhm-Ermolli. Kövess received the war decoration to the previously awarded grand cross of the Order of the Iron Crown on the 5th of October 1914

It is a very high relief medal, with woman on one knee offering her gold and jewelry "In Iron Times" and the date 1916 on the front.  The back has the slogan "I gave gold to the resistance and recieved iron in honor" in raised lettering. It measures 1-5/8 inches in diameter.

There is a raised HOSEUS maker mark on the back.

This award was only presented to selected members of the German Red Cross.  It measures 42mm in diameter and has no paint of the rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with the red cross and starburst emblem on the raised lettering on the back.  A German mother flanked by two young children children is shown on the front.  All have their hands pressed together in prayer.

It has the Meissen crossed swords maker marks.

As the Duke of Swabia (as Friedrich III, 1147–90) and German king and Holy Roman emperor (1152–90), he challenged papal authority and sought to establish German predominance in western Europe. He died while on the Third Crusade to the Holy Land. It measures 42mm in diameter and has no paint of the rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with the date and raised lettering on the back.  A profile of the emperor is shown on the front with his name and dates of birth and death.

It has no apparent maker marks.

This device is in generally good condition with some chips apparent of the rim at the top front in the area of the wreath.

This token has an unusual adolescent girl water bearer in medieval warrior dress.  It measures 33mm in diameter and has no paint of the rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with an embattled castle tower and the name of the city and value on the raised lettering on the back. The young girl and date 1927 is shown on the front.

This token has an unusual adolescent nude girl figure wearing pigtails sitting on a set of wings.  It measures 25.4mm in diameter and has no paint of the rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with the name of the city and value on the raised lettering on the back. A cherubic young girl is shown on the front.

This award was only presented to selected members of the German and Italian military participating in the bombing missions over England. It measures 52mm in diameter and has a green painted rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with the swastika and fasces and raised lettering on the back.  An eagle carrying a large bomb is on the front.

This award was only presented to selected members of the German Luftwaffe Stuka dive bomber crews participating in the bombing missions over England.  It measures 51mm in diameter and has no paint of the rim.

It is a very high relief medal, with the swastika and wreath on the raised lettering on the back.  Junkers Ju-87 Stuka dive bombers over London and the bridge over the Thames River are shown on the front.

It is a very high relief token, with mediaeval warriors and the date 1923 on the front.  The back has a wild boar and raised lettering commemorating the event. It measures 1-5/8 inches in diameter.

This is an unmounted plaque of the early German Third Reich depicting Adolf Hitler as the Builder of Greater Germany.

This award was dismounted from a building that was destroyed in WWII.  There are two holes at the sides from when it was originally attached to the building.  There are some scratches and scars from age.

This is a detailed raised profile of Adolf Hitler's head.  It is a hollow alloy.

It is 4-3/4 inches in diameter.

The condition is very good to near excellent.

This is a very unusual plaque of the early Reiter-SS (later Waffen-SS) members for service in the cavalry in WWI and WWII.

This award was presented to one of the early members of the SS cavalry, a recipient of the Iron Cross 1st Class 1914 (a vaulted prinzen size medal is separately attached, showing the reverse side of the medal).  He later was part of the Florian Geyer Division.

This is a very detailed raised profile horse's head.  It is a hollow alloy. The base is black painted wood, with hangers for wall display. It shows signs of wear from routine display and age.

It is 11 by 13 inches, with the horse's head nearly 2 inches high in 3/4 profile.  The St. Christophorus medal is 2 inches in diameter.

The condition is near excellent.

This is a very unusual plaque of the early Deutschen Reiterjugend of the SA  members for service in the cavalry in WWI and WWII.

This award was presented for exceptional service in the German youth riding program of the SA in the name of Adolf Hitler.  There is a raised inscription on the back with a facsimile Hitler signature.

A detailed image of a stallion standing within an oak leaf wreath and national eagle on the front.  The back of the plaque has the inscription and SA lightning bolt emblem.

This is a very heavy device, made in one piece of cast iron. It shows very minor signs of wear from routine display and age.

This is a very unusual trophy, presented for 30 years of service to the aviation industry, presented to one of the stellar pioneers of the aviation industry.

This award was presented to the German Airship Transport Company Deutsche Luftschiffahrts-Aktien-Gesellschaft (DELAG) which was the first commercial air transport company in the world, founded on 16 November, 1909 by Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin.

This is a cast metal eagle with spread wings on a mountaintop aerie with a prop (slightly moveable mounted to the front. The base is marble, with a felt bottom. It shows signs of wear from routine display and age.

It is 6-1/2 inches high, with a 9 inch wing span. The base measures 4-3/4 by 3-3/4 inches.

The condition is near excellent.

This award is executed in solid bronze and has a very detailed high relief bust of Adolf Hitler on the face of the plaque.

It is 7-1/2 inches wide, and 9-1/2 inches high overall.

It has a motto at the bottom reading "Wachen und Warten" (Watch and Wait) and one below that reading "Abwehren und Abschliessen" (Seek and Destroy (by shooting)). The exact regiment is not identified. From the colors on the shield, it may have been an air defense flak artillery unit.

There is the unit emblem with a tricolor (red, blue, gray) shield and winged artillery shell.

The tile is approximately 5-3/4 inches square in a 7 inch square wooden fitted frame.

It measures 1-1/4 inches deep by 2-3/4 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches high overall.  The 37mm projectile is dated 1937

The medallion featuring an antitank rifle crew in action and a displayed imperial eagle are separately applied on a chiseled marble base.

It has a luftwaffe rangefinder stature in full military kit using the portable range finder optical device mounted on a fancy marble base.

The bronze plated alloy statue is mounted on a pedestal of mottled brown marble complete with wool felt pads.

This is a sporting award heavy marble tablet on marble base with an applied silver plated sports eagle device.

It once had a plaque describing what the presentation was for, however, it is not present. There are two wood plugged 1/8 inch drilled holes for mounting screws, 1-7/8 inches center to center.

The tablet portion measures 4-1/4 inches wide, 5-5/8 inches high, by 3/4 inches thick. The base is 5-3/8 by 2-3/8 by 3/4 inches. The eagle is 2-3/4 by 3-1/4 high.

This is an NSDAP award heavy marble base with an attached silver plated NSDAP political eagle device.
