Period Adolf Hitler Correspondence Covers

These envelopes were recovered from files captured from the Obersalzberg. The contents were separated for intelligence analysis and the covers were considered of no consequence and discarded. They were saved by one of the CIC as souvenirs. These particular covers are addressed to Adolf Hitler at the Reichskanzlei in Berlin, at Haus Wachenfeld in Obersalzberg, and the Munich Apartment in München. If you are interested in them, please email us for details. Some of them are listed here.

The condition of the covers is near-excellent with signs of routine handling. They are slit on three sides (to ensure the complete contents were exposed). There are a variety of sizes (from 2-1/2 by 5 inches to 6 by 5 inches), colors, postmarks, and dates, most dating to the Christmas season of 1933 and early 1934.

These covers make outstanding -- and affordable -- period accent pieces for AH related framed groupings.

Adolf Hitler Fake OSS Stamped Envelope
This envelope is a curiosity item, a fake of a counterfeit stamp similar to those used by the OSS in the middle of WWII.

The block of four stamps at the upper right are a depiction of Hitler with a skull superimposed on his face. A real German stamp is at the left. The postmark is dated in 1943, about the time the actual OSS stamps were being dumped into the German postal system as a psyops ploy to disrupt the postal system and spread propaganda.

This is not an actual OSS cover, it was made some years ago as a counterfeit of a counterfeit, and it is sold as a novelty only.

The condition is very good.
